Company Chaplain
I first started going to Church in Wallasey where I was born. I went
to the local Church Sunday School at the age of 6 years old. Then at
the age of 11, I sang in the Church Choir.
After four years of marriage my wife Kathleen and I moved to
Abram in 1972 with our daughter Gillian, our son David was
here in 1973.
I became a Sidesperson at St John the Evangelist, Abram
in 1979, Parochial Church Council member in 1987,
Churchwarden in 1997 also governor of Abram
Primary School
until 2005.
I commenced training to become a Licensed Reader (Lay Minister)
in 2003 and was licensed in 2007 at Liverpool Cathedral.
My hobbies are football, I help to run a football club – Wigan
Juniors with my wife and two friends which caters for
300 children ranging from the age of 5 – 13 years every
Saturday morning in organised teams and leagues.
I like Ten Pin Bowling, in my younger days I was involved in
several teams and leagues.
I like most sports; reading and church work, especially preaching.
I have been connected with the 15th Wigan Boys Brigade &
Girls Association for the last 13 years and look forward to the
years ahead.
